Radical Advice is the outcome of Shesh’s experience, learnings and observations over his 33 year career.

Shesh is an engineer, manager and leader. He has worked in shipping, manufacturing, services and offshore logistics. He has extensive experience in building greenfield companies and turning around distressed companies. He has worked in MNCs, family-run businesses and PE-owned enterprises. He has served as CEO/MD for over 10 years in three companies.

An objective evaluation shows that most SMEs and Start-ups, while run by passionate and capable professionals, tend to lack a defining ‘vision’ and a long term road-map, due to which the management gets bogged down in the transactional, rather than seeking to be transformational. (This is also true of talented professionals – many lack a clear vision for themselves, and find themselves meandering in a forest of short term decisions and dead-ends, constantly feeling a lack of progress and purpose.)

This can lead to a business that is misaligned with the market, constantly off-balance, lacking shared purpose, leading to shortfalls in effectiveness, efficiency, coordination and alignment.

This can also lead to a confused, disengaged environment where people focus on tasks rather than outcomes, survival rather than growth, with mindsets that are anti-failure rather than pro-success.
